At Gonzalez Coffee, our story is deeply rooted in family and a shared passion for exceptional coffee. For generations, our family has dedicated themselves to the art and science of coffee cultivation, nurturing our heritage from the fertile lands to your cup. What began as a humble dream years ago has blossomed into a commitment to bring you the finest coffee experience, driven by the values of tradition, quality, and community that define us. Every bean we touch carries a piece of our family's enduring love for coffee. Don Alonso, featured in this photograph (left), has dedicated generations to the art and science of coffee cultivation to make sure that we are enjoying only the highest quality of coffee.

Here, a collective of dedicated farmers, many of whom are part of our extended family and community, meticulously cultivate each coffee cherry. We believe that great coffee starts with great care for the land and the people who work it. Our commitment extends beyond just planting seeds; it's about fostering sustainable practices, ensuring fair wages, and building strong relationships that span generations. This deep respect for our farmers and the earth is reflected in the vibrant flavor profile of every coffee bean we harvest. The man you see here is Luis H. Gonzalez, the original landowner of "El Retiro" and the father of our Founder.

Founders

The story of Gonzalez Coffee truly began in 2020, born from a bold vision during the unprecedented times of the pandemic. Founded by Jhon J. Gonzalez (second from right, pictured), his journey with coffee started long before. Born in Colombia in 1970, Jhon grew up immersed in the rhythms of 'El Retiro' farm, learning the trade alongside his father, Luis H. Gonzalez (middle, pictured). At the age of 20, he embarked on a new chapter, immigrating to the United States. It was here, fueled by an entrepreneurial spirit and a deep-seated connection to his roots, that he courageously launched Gonzalez Coffee, initially with little formal experience in the industry. What began as a daring leap of faith has since blossomed into a thriving family enterprise. Today, Gonzalez Coffee is proudly run by Jhon and his three sons: John (left-most, pictured), Steven (right-most, pictured), and Alejandro Gonzalez (second from left, pictured), collectively steering the company toward continued success.
